Timespan Farms
The Morgan Horse- America's Original

Welcome to Timespan Farms Morgan Horses!  We hope to share with you our love for the Original American Horse, the Morgan.

Our bloodlines are a few of those represented across the country known for their ability and desire to do whatever is requested of them with a willing and forward disposition.  This is the only temperament that we consider true Morgan and is what we personally breed for.

Our Selective Breeding Plan

Our breeding program focuses on the Historic Morgan.  This is an animal that was noted for all around capability, intelligence, thrift and soundness.  The horse must also have the quality of wanting to work with man not just for him, a willing partner, willing to try everything asked of him.

We do not breed for one discipline only, but believe that the true strength of the Morgan breed was, and is the ability to manipulate the genetic pool to produce a horse that served the needs of it's time while not loosing it's ability to keep original type and character.  Our Morgan breeding program should be able to produce a harness horse, saddle horse, cowhorse, or sport horse by preserving the genetic flexibility within it's lines.

We have integrated and plan to integrate further foundation lines to meet these standards.

The Next Generation of Horsemen... women

To the right you see our son Elijah, at age 13.  The horse he is riding is Timespans Tales of Fire.  They have grown up together.  Eli has provided for this horse all it's life.  They have grown together and become wiser together.  They have each learned to depend on the other and learned the meaning of trust.  This is the basic essence of true horsemanship.  Tali will learn and love to learn for the rest of his life.  Eli has learned to be a fair and honest teacher and student, that will stand him in good stead all of his life.  The partnership of horse and man has been a sacred bond as old as time itself.  As we pass on our genetics and standards to the next generation (as they have been handed down to us), we must all be careful in passing on the knowledge and standards of true horsemanship.

To ensure the quality and history of a way of life that dimishes a little more with every passing year, we must nurture our youth to take their place as the horsemen and women of tomorrow.
